Suu Kyi Underwent Successful Eye Surgery

Yangon, Myanmar: Myanmar's Aung Sang Suu Kyi went through some successful eye surgery on Saturday, said a senior official, weeks after the 70-year-old had already fledged with the administration power.

"She went back home after the successful operation," said Win Htein, who is a senior member close to Suu Kyi's ruling of National League for Democracy (NLD) party, reported to AFP.

He denied to extend the information of the specific story, and told them that it was minor and he will be arriving back to the hospital to take surgery on his other eye, on April 16.

Several photos which are in the social media were shown Suu Kyi with his doctor Tin Myo Win, who is one of the few people who have been permitted to the democracy during the 15 years of the military who kept her imprisoned in a Yangon mansion.

He also told the news crew AFP using his phone that the President Htin Kyaw had visited him after his eye operation was finished.

Suu Kyi along with her party will be taking their seats for the government after the mass election in November, forming a new and fresh administration civillian after many decades.

Suu Kyi is now barred with presidency and an army-written charter but her whole role is about wielding the cabinet and parliament.

Suu yi's eye surgery was taken place at a New Year Myanmar festival which sees some closures of shops and government offices.
